Who needs this procedure?

Commonly used for gallbladder removal, hernia repair and appendix removal.

The procedure

Under general anaesthesia, the surgeon makes 3 or 4 small cuts of 5 to 10 mm, inflates the abdomen gently with gas to create space, and performs the operation while watching the screen.
